Text Of Message: Third Year Photography student looking for someone willing to work with me on a photographically illustrated book. The photographs will be constructed narrative images. I am looking for someone to play Evelyn, a young man who undergoes a tranformation that allows him to see another reality alongside our own. Evelyn is searching for the Ellentree, a mythcal tree, rumoured to grant wishes, in the hopes of changing his destiny. The project will run from mid Oct to late April and requires someone who can commit. It will probably work out as 1 photoshoot every fortnight. I am looking for someone who is interested in acting for a still camera. As this is a student project with almost no budget I am offering copies of the images taken for The Ellentree as well as 3 photoshoots of the actors or models choice, be the head shots, studio work or family portraits. I think this could be a fun oppertunity to work collaboratively in creating a character and a successful story.

Text Of Message: Moths Casting Call-Male Actor required We are a crew in our final year on the BA Film and Video course, at London College of Communication (University of the Arts, London.) This course is one of the most prestigious undergraduate film courses in the country and the University of the Arts is the largest arts university in Europe. We are currently in pre-production for our 10 minute graduation film "Moths". Auditions will be this coming week, so please apply asap. We will be shooting 26th-31st October, and then 3rd November . Rehearsals will be held in London 28th September-2nd October, and then 5th-9th October. A rehearsal on set with the camera and lights set up, will be on the 25th October. Please note, rehearsals will not be for all of these days, and will fit around your schedule. This short film will be screened at the National Film Theatre (Southbank, London.) Below is a brief synopsis: Despite the fact they have never met or spoken to one another, Sophie and Paul are neighbours who share a very intimate relationship. Every night they take in turns to watch each other through a small peep-hole in the wall dividing both their homes. Their evening routines become little performances for each other and in this way they experience a taste of the thing they both crave and fear the most - company. However when the two finally meet face to face its a different story. We are looking for an actor interested in the role of Paul. Potential applicants should be aware that there is almost no dialogue in this film, and a lot of the emotional thread of the film will rely heavily on body language. Please note this is an unpaid position, though we will pay for your expenses. Below is a brief description of the character, Paul: Name: Paul. Age: Early Forties. Average build. Paul lives alone in a tiny flat in a big city. He is divorced and has a young daughter. Over the last few years he has alienated himself from his friends and started to work from home. He is not a malicious or selfish person at all and is constantly racked with guilt for leaving his wife and daughter for a younger woman (who then left him shortly after). Paul used to be fun and energetic, but most of this is now hidden as he has proceeded to become more and more introverted. This is a very important project to all of us involved and we are excited to find an actor who can help us bring it to life. Please email your CV and Headshots/Photographs to Rose Hancock (Producer) You can find more about the film at www.mothsfilm.exofire.net

Text Of Message: Hi there, I was wondering if you might be able to post the following casting breakdown, for short film produced as part of the North London Film Fund? ----------------- We're looking for two actors to star in a five minute short, to be produced in collaboration with OTT Films (http://ottfilms.co.uk/), and with the support of Camden Council. "Dream a Little Dream", a magical realist tale from Director Tim Hawkins (http://www.vimeo.com/1887780 and http://www.vimeo.com/1389883) is to be shot this coming January in and around London "Gregg and Emily live a mechanical life, the monotonous drudgery of modern living has drained the tenderness and spontaneity from their relationship. They simply co-exist. Gregg dreams of a time when the two of them danced playfully under a burnt Autumn sky. One night he wakes gasping for breath and coughs up a dream. Not wanting to give it up he hides it from Emily in a shoebox under the bed. Finding no happiness elsewhere, Gregg becomes increasingly obsessed, withdrawing from reality to spend time in the dream. Emily fills the empty house with music from her harmonium and listens at the locked bedroom door. Finally, in a bid to reach Gregg, Emily breaks into the bedroom and consumes the dream. The two of them remain sitting separately on the bed, forever dancing together in their shared dream." We're currently looking for two sensitive, able performers for the two leads: Gregg - Male, aged 35-50, slim build, short hair Emily - Female, aged 35-50, fair skin, slim build, straight hair We'll be able to pay expenses only, though the film is be shot on the RED camera (http://www.red.com/), and will be promoted and screened by the North London Film Fund in March. We aim to produce a refined and effective piece of filmmaking, in which we're confident in gaining entry to major festivals and securing online distribution. Auditions will be held over the first week of December, and we'll get in touch with all favourable actors in the coming weeks. To get in touch please contact us at dreamalittledream@rocketmail.com.

Text Of Message: Hello. I’m a freelance journalist for The Mirror newspaper and am looking for women aged 25-54 to help out with two articles: 'Have you got an embarrassing secret?' I’m looking for women who’ve got an embarrassing story to tell. Maybe they said or did something embarrassing in front of someone they were trying to impress, or suffered from an embarrassing habit that they found a solution for. 'Did you do anything funny/mad to get the man of your dreams?' I’m looking for women who’ve done funny and really mad things to get the man of their dreams. For example, they might have sent numerous texts to a bloke until he agreed to go out with them, or pretended to be someone else to get a date - anything wacky along these lines. For both these features, there’s going to be an all-expenses-paid photo shoot in Central London some time in the next week (before 10 March). They’ll also involve a quick phone chat with me. If you’re happy to take part, please do email me by 6 March. There'll be payment for your time and trouble if the story gets used. Many thanks

Text Of Message: I'm currently casting for a short film being made in Scotland in mid- March by a crew of very professional and talented young filmmakers. The story is about a rural postman living on a remote island that rows across to the mainland everyday to collect the mail even though there hasn't been any for some time. Eventually there is a letter, which is addressed to him, when he opens it he discovers that it is the termination of his long-standing service as a postman. The film follows his struggle to come to terms with his redundancy. The Postman is a quiet, lonely and vulnerable character who is loyal and dedicated to his job, which stimulates his stubborn pride towards accepting his redundancy. We're looking for a 40+ male actor of medium to large build with the look of a rugged, weathered outdoorsman. Applicants must be comfortable around water and willing to stay away on location in Scotland for a week during the shoot. Unfortunately because of the tiny budget we can only offer expenses, good catering and a copy of the film in exchange for your hard work. However, the film will be given as much publicity as possible and will entered onto the short film festival circuit in order to maximise its audience capacity. In summary, this is a fantastic opportunity to work with a determined group of up and coming filmmakers and have a high-quality 16mm production added to your showreel. For more details or to submit a CV please contact the producer; Tom Birmingham on 07823 447640/tabirmingham@yahoo.co.uk.

Text Of Message: BBC Three is changing. It's growing into something more than a regular TV channel. It's building a whole world for itself, one that will live on your computer and your mobile as much as it does on your telly. It's not finished yet, but it's happening now. This second. And for it to be as good as it could be, it needs you to get involved. All of you. So we tried to get your attention with some cheeky stunts that saw holes leading to the new world of BBC Three open up on some of Britain's most infamous streets. We even made films of ourselves doing it in case you weren't there to see it happen. Why? Simple, because we can't finish changing BBC Three without you. We want you to film yourself introducing your favourite BBC Three programmes, as well as your ideas about what your ideal world would look like. Upload your mobile or video clips via enterthreetv.co.uk then click on "Be on TV" and find out exactly how you could end up as one of the new faces of BBC Three. On top of that you can sneak a look at what BBC Three is becoming and find out how people like Lily Allen are already involved

We are currently in pre-production for a short film called ‘Light Years’ (35mm) and motion picture “Rapture” (35mm). Both projects will be shown theatrically and is being directed by Steve Nesbit and produced by Eve Hawking. These productions have attracted a world class team, which includes celebrated Director of Photography, Geoff Boyle. We are currently casting for Light Years. Light Years is the poignant story of Zi, a 7 year old girl who believes that she is an alien and her real parents left her on the doorstep of the Cheung’s house when she was three weeks old before their escape pod inexplicably disappeared into another interstellar dimension. Her mission is to find her way back home. The shoot will be based in London. In late August. Oriental girl required, to play 7 year old genius. Ziyi is an unbearably cute, precocious girl with an exceptionally high IQ and intellect. Ziyi hardly speaks, and her expression is constantly plain. She suffers no fools, but has a high regard for intelligent people, animals and her stuffed dinosaur. The role is exceptionally demanding, particularly for someone in this playing range. We are looking for a girl who can keep a constantly plain expression, and still communicate. The character behaves like a mute, is totally headstrong, but we have total admiration for her. The actor must be of oriental ethnicity, but fluent in English. Text Of Message: We are making a 13 part series currently for The National Geographic channel called Situation Critical, and one the shows tells the story of the Russian Submarine the Priz, which was trapped in the Pacific and saved by the UK submarine rescue service (based in Renfrew). We are looking for someone to play the character of Stuart Gold who was the operator of the ŒScorpio¹ the ROV which eventually freed the Priz from the netting/ropes it was caught up in. We are filming with the Navy and Submarine Rescue service on Friday 29th September and Tuesday 3rd of October, as they are doing some annual training exercises off the isle of Bute which we could not easily recreate. We will also be back towards the end of October (flexible) when there will be between another 1 and 5 filming days when we would need the same actor. Stuart Gold Actor It's really important that we get him just right - he's a key character. Just to sum up, his key requirements are: "white" hair like Stuart; good Scottish accent; good acting ability, similar facial/bodily resemblance. We have Stuart Golds actual overalls for the shoot, so preferably someone 5ft10, slim build (Stuart has chest size 40²)

Text Of Message: U P D A T E: Thank you to all that got in touch with us. The dates of our shoot have now changed. We are now looking at a Sunday towards the end of September. We are shooting a music video for the Radar Festival competition and are looking for actors to play a typically English suburban, reserved married couple trying to re-ignite their relationship over one night in a hotel room. We are opening up the casting criteria and are now looking for a man and woman of 30+ playing age for these parts. Finding the perfect complimentary couple is our task and who we cast as the man depends on who we find for the woman and vice versa. As before, it's a one day shoot in a single (hotel room) location in London. Very low budget so unpaid (except for expenses & food) but talented, professional crew and great exposure if video does well in competition. Actors will be required to learn lyrics to the song and mime to them for certain scenes. No nudity but must be comfortable to be in just underwear for some scenes. The director is happy to discuss the specifics of this with the actors before shooting. Shooting towards end of September in central London. Please note: Anyone who has already contacted us about either of these roles does not need to contact us again. We will be arranging to meet with people in the next few weeks..

Text Of Message: We are a small, independent production company, who are shooting a short film, 'The Second Coming of Jesus' from September 2nd - 8th 2006. In the film, Jesus returns to Earth, arriving in a rural village. He is surprised to discover that his teachings have been altered beyond all recognition. Angered, Jesus tries to change things for the better. But, in such a small village, old traditions are hard to change. We are looking for an actor in their twenties or thirties with a strong physical resemblance to traditional depictions of Jesus. All other cast and crew members have been confirmed.Unfortunately, we are able to offer only basic expenses and a copy of the film. However, we believe that this will be an exciting and enjoyable production. If you have any actors that you think would be suitable for the part, please do not hesitate to get in contact with us.

Text Of Message: Generator Films are currently casting for the 5 minuet short film "Dog & Bone". Dog & Bone is a about the adventures of a Dog running from his owner on a surreal journey of tanning, cruising and speed drying through a caricatured London. The Dog encounters five characters on his journey and these are the characters we are looking for: Burt the Biker: Burt the biker spends his days sitting on an unbalanced plastic chair in the middle of the high street holding a large wooden sign pointing to the Local Tanning shop run by Tanya Tanwell. His vacant look tells us that his has no interest in Tanning just an interest in Tanya. Tanya Tanwell: Tanya is very slim, over tanned and over bleached. One the first thing you notice about her apart from her glorious over tanned features is her extravagant voluminous hair. She wears her short white beauticians uniform with pride even if it has seen better days, but it does match the slender ruby red talons she has for fingernails. Tanya can often be found at the door of her salon puffing franticly with a vacant gaze on her nicotine inhaler. Wolfgang Watersworth: Wolfgang Watersworth is a captain of a Thames riverboat. His small stature makes him stubborn and proud which you can tell by the sparkle that shimmers from the buttons on his blue captains uniform. This man gives more love and attention to his boat than to his wife, which she always put down to a midlife crises that went seriously a skew. Paula and Betty Bright: Paula and Betty Bright are a pair of eccentric synchronised middle-aged twins who run a local launderette, which they inherited, from their father several years ago. They have a warm sunshine spotless appearance, which makes everyone feel at home. We aim to shoot the film the week commencing the week of the 12th June 2006. We aim to start casting from Tuesday 30th onwards. If you would like to be considered for any of the above parts please contact the producer Laura Sophie Ware via her email: imagemaker48@yahoo.co.uk

We are searching for a face to front the campaign, requiring someone 'hungry' for this kind of opportunity. I must be upfront about the bad part however - we have no budget. This element is a desirable in the campaign, and so far for our casting, we have found we are attracting models / actors / presenters that are looking for presenting work and that bit of exposure and a big name to add to their showreel. We really do believe we have an exciting opportunity for the right person and so, I was wondering if you had anyone you think would be boosted by such a chance. As the details explain, the initial casting is to be held on the afternoon of the 4th Jan, in our offices in Soho. Text Of Message: Tern Television are producing a brand new series for Channel 4 Learning, and we are looking for talented voice over artists to provide the voices for the animated characters who appear in the show. The programme will be a mix of animated inserts featuring our two main characters ?Kierkegaard & Nietzsche?, and weird and wonderful, Eastern European archive clips. The show will be primarily a comedy, but will also have a strong science theme running through it, to give it an educational spin. The two main characters are two pretty ?geeky? and ?weird? teenage boys from the fictional Eastern European country of Slabovia. They are passionate about science and they transmit a pirate TV station from a secret government vault that contains all sorts of weird and wonderful footage of ?Slabovian? citizens doing mad stuff. The requirements are very specific. We are looking for male voice over artists with good voices for animation, who can do VERY VERY GOOD Eastern European accents, ideally to a native speaking standard. We are looking for people who have some sort of comedy background, and have excellent comic timing and instincts. The characters are teenagers, so the voices cannot sound too mature. One of the characters ?Kierkegaard?, is tall, skinny and lanky, the other ?Nietzsche? is short and round. We envisage Kierkegaard as talking more slowly in a lower pitch, and Nietzsche as being a bit more manic and high pitched, but we are looking for the actors to really put their own stamp onto the characters. We are looking to get this cast A.S.A.P, so we need to hear from potential candidates at the very latest by 13th October. As this is for Channel 4 Learning, we do not have a huge budget, so our rate may not be particularly high, but this is a big opportunity to come on board at an early stage on a series that we hope will go on to become hugely successful. In the first case please only apply via e-mail to? mathew@terntv.com with a copy of your CV. If you are able to supply a sample voice as an attachment, then that would be ideal. If not I will be in touch to set up some sort of audition, which in the first instance would probably be over the phone. We would need people to be available to do the recordings on dates TBC after the 17th of October. I must stress once again, please only apply for this role if your Eastern European accent is strong, and could pass as a teenage voice

Text Of Message: The highwayman is a short film due to shoot in October but we wish to cast now, as rehearsal is very important to the production team. The film is based around the central character Bess and the hope ruby, which she and her lover try to steel in the 1700 only to fail but try again in our century. The film is being shot by film industry professionals, who have got together to make it happen. The film will be entered in to many festivals when finished and show cased in many different arenas. We have a very small budget but it is not a freebee. We are looking to cast for the following roles: Bess - Curvy smiley 20 -30 year old brown haired women who's not afraid of the world and can give as good as she gets, with out looseing her feminine virtues. The Highway Man - A strong tall (between 5ft 8 & 6ft) man whose history can be told on his face. He is more interestingly hansom than clean cut good looking, and knows how to take care of himself. Tim - A small thin built man who has a lot to learn about life. He spends too much time wanting what other people have and this shows in his face, which is not the most trust worthy face you will see. Text Of Message: Betty TV are making a brand new documentary series for BBC THREE about people who love to spend. We are delving into the pschology behind people spending beyond their means, using various methods to help people overcome their problems. One such method is the 'Shock Tactic'. where we present our contributors with a visual representation of a certain area of their expenditure - for example, a previous contributor took taxis everywhere he went spending a fortune on a waiters wage - we took him to a location where we revealed 30 Black Cabs all honking their horns - each cab represented a monetary value, shocking the contributor into realising where his money was going. The contributor for our current show has a passion for male cosmetics - he spends a fortune on them, and we want to shock him by presenting him with the sight of 30 men with facial packs on. This would be in a theatre in central London and will be filmed by a camera crew plus director. We can pay 20 UPK to each ! person, and we'd need them for a maximum of 3 hours. Is this something you could help us out with?

Text Of Message: I am in my final year of a 3 year Media Production Degree at Staffordshire University. The short film i am currently producing will be 10 min's in length and filmed on miniDV. The style will be similar to French cinema; yellow, green and gritty in visual look. It will be quirky and humorous. The narrative is mostly character based and follows Bernard, a retired tailor who is very much a gentleman and stuck in his ways. The film will explore how he is alienated from modern society and play on stereotypical ideologies of the elderly. His long time friend Harry has served most of his life in the army in surveillance and is paranoid about strange events and people in the outside world. Harry spends most of his time watching the street down below his flat and can tell you anything about what you can see ! and hear there. It is mostly dialogue and subtle acting as the two different characters catch up and reminisce. I am looking for some experienced actors to play Bernard and Har! ry, as well as any other characters to play the small various roles Harry and Bernard come across and see throughout. Any applications are welcome for the various characters as I develop the details.

Text Of Message: I am a student from Staffordshire University currently studying my 3rd and final year of a Media Production Degree, which is very much a practical production course. This year I am to make 3 to 4 short films that will determine my degree pass. I am writing to you as I am currently in pre-production on a short film and seek to find two young male actors aged around 6 to 14 to play the characters of two brothers in my film. As I am a student I have a very small budget for this film and I could only offer travelling and possibly accommodation payment if it is needed, but hopefully everyone can take something away from the experience. Synopsis: I am going to make a 5-10 min Drama to a professional standard based on the relationship between two brothers. The older of the two has always picked on the younger because he is jealous of him getting all the attention and praise. One night the parents go out for a meal and have to leave the kids alone for a while as the child minder is running late. The younger brother gets his revenge back on his brother by giving him the fright of his life. He turns the electricity off in the house and begins to convince his brother monsters are surrounding the house. Little does his brother and the audience know that he has set the whole thing up (that is the twist) We (the audience) are sent on a scary roller coaster as we share the fear in the house. The older brother ends up being scared senseless and runs out of the house screaming down the road. I am currently living in Stoke-on-Trent but will be filming it at my parent's home in Haverhill, which is 25 mins from Cambridge. The film will be screened at the university cinema and entered into many film festivals. Would you be able to help me in any way looking for child actors and possibly two adults- one male one female aged around 30-45 for their parents? Or do you have any contacts or any other information on acting agencies in the area? Any CV's or show reels would be most welcome. Thank you very much for your time and I hope to hear from you soon.
